About the role

The Administrator oversees the daily operations of the Network. This role involves managing grant staff and functions. The incumbent will collaborate with the Evaluator to develop outcome measurement tools that accurately assess the effectiveness of Network strategies and activities. The individual will work closely with the PD to manage the budget and ensure compliance with grant requirements and University policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Ready For Life Academy students in taking strides toward reaching their goals of independent living and paid employment.
  • Oversee all aspects of academic programming, including but not limited to:
    • Overseeing that PATH planning or an equivalent person-centered process.
    • Implementing a defined Scope and Sequence curriculum in the identified domains.
    • Effectively advising students on course enrollments.
    • Create students' schedules each semester with program instructors.
    • Monitor or delegate students’ university class progress and make appropriate accommodations and/or modifications for university class work.
    • Monitor and ensure implementation of grant reporting requirements.
    • Communicate with University staff as needed.
    • Lead planning and hosting two visit days a year.
    • Effectively communicate with RFL staff, students, and guardians regularly as necessary.
    • Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically.
    • Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
  • Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
  • The Administrator will spend 5% of his/her time participating in activities such as regular meetings or conference calls sponsored by the TPSID Coordination Center, and will ensure availability of allocated time for project personnel to support conference planning.

Requirements

Experience with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism is required. Knowledge of or willingness to become knowledgeable in current program practices for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism in client-centered community living supported day programming and post-secondary educational settings. Ability to effectively communicate with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.

Qualifications

  • A Master’s degree in Special Education

  • Communicate with interested, incoming, and current families/guardians as needed.
  • Interested – share information about the programs and visit days.
  • Incoming – answer individual questions and set up intake meetings.
  • Support students/clients and families through the orientation process.
  • Communicate with University partners to facilitate a professional and positive partnership.
  • Work inter-departmentally to ensure continuity of services on behalf of RFLA@FSU students, including admission, financial aid, housing & residential services.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
