About the role
Lead with Purpose. Make a Lasting Impact. Volare Health is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) to lead the daily operations of one of our skilled nursing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and management of facility operations.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Direct and oversee all departments, programs, policies, and procedures.
- Develop operational goals and implement strategies to improve quality outcomes.
- Maintain ongoing communication with corporate leadership and governing bodies.
- Ensure residents receive the highest quality of care and services.
- Review and interpret monthly financial statements.
- Manage facility budgets and resources effectively.
- Monitor accounts receivable and address delinquent collections promptly.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to corporate leadership.
- Oversee workers' compensation documentation and reporting.
- Recruit, hire, develop, and retain high-performing team members.
- Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for department heads.
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on accountability and teamwork.
- Support employee development and succession planning initiatives.
- Maintain readiness for state and federal surveys.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring programs.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, resident rights, safety standards, and company policies.
- Address resident concerns and grievances promptly and professionally.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, physicians, referral sources, and regulatory agencies.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for long-term care services.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Completion of an Administrator-in-Training (AIT) program or prior experience as an Administrator or Assistant Administrator.
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations and operations.
- Proven leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight travel when required.
- Prior experience leading a skilled nursing facility (preferred).
- Experience in a fast-paced healthcare environment (preferred).
- BSN or advanced healthcare-related degree (preferred).
