Act as the face of the location and the company by offering the highest level of customer service and hospitality to visitors, clients, and the community both in person and on the phone. Provide administrative support to a funeral home, cemetery, crematory, or a combination of these facilities. Assist with special projects, research, and resolving problems.
Responsibilities
- Enter contract details into information system and maintain related documents
- Order and verify accuracy of memorials
- Process annual funeral home and cemetery license renewals
- Code and scan invoices
- Process accounts payable and other accounting support transactions
- Receive incoming telephone calls, assist callers, and direct calls to appropriate team members
- File and maintain customer information
- Schedule meetings, draft memos, transcribe notes, create presentations, generate reports, and prepare and monitor invoices and expenses
- Maintain office and facility supplies as well as fax machines, copiers, and network printers
Skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills for interactions with grieving families, co-workers, and other stakeholders
- Ability to generate accurate and timely responses to questions and requests in a calm, professional manner
- Collaborate easily with co-workers, keep shared information up to date, and work well independently
- Communicate in a timely and effective manner with management
- Excellent attention to detail while handling a range of time-sensitive tasks
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Two (2) years of administrative support experience
- Prior work experience in bookkeeping or accounting is helpful, but not required
