About the role
The Administrative Professional reports to the Director of Student Affairs and serves as a key member of the administrative team.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments, meeting reminders
- Greet all incoming visitors and ensure they sign in/out as required
- Receive and refer telephone calls and emails as appropriate
- Email and formal correspondence to staff, families, etc.
- E-file and file documents
- Maintain a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases
- Process forms and related paperwork
- Print out lesson plans
- Plan department events
- Process and distribute (mail/email) letters and other correspondence
- Provide clerical support for various programs and departments
Requirements
- High school diploma; Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred
- Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite
- Experience in PowerSchool is a plus
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Possession of or eligibility for appropriate certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
- Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required; advanced skill desired
- Careful attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to operate general office equipment
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Works collaboratively with other Administrative Professionals
- Highly dependable and flexible
