About the role

The Administrative Professional reports to the Director of Student Affairs and serves as a key member of the administrative team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate calendars and schedule appointments, meeting reminders
  • Greet all incoming visitors and ensure they sign in/out as required
  • Receive and refer telephone calls and emails as appropriate
  • Email and formal correspondence to staff, families, etc.
  • E-file and file documents
  • Maintain a variety of computerized and manual records, files, and department databases
  • Process forms and related paperwork
  • Print out lesson plans
  • Plan department events
  • Process and distribute (mail/email) letters and other correspondence
  • Provide clerical support for various programs and departments

Requirements

  • High school diploma; Associate’s Degree or beyond preferred
  • Advanced skills in using Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, as well as Google Suite
  • Experience in PowerSchool is a plus
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Possession of or eligibility for appropriate certification from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
  • Ability to communicate in American Sign Language – intermediate skill required; advanced skill desired
  • Careful attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to operate general office equipment
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Works collaboratively with other Administrative Professionals
  • Highly dependable and flexible
  • Maintains confidentiality at all times
