About the role
The Administrative Manager serves as the principle administrative manager and point of contact for the Division Head of the University of Texas Police at Houston (UTP-H) division. Provides high-level operational and executive level support for the Office of the Chief of Police.
Responsibilities
- Performs critical functions in support of assigned Divisional strategic initiatives through structured coordination, data gathering and interpretation, and synthesizing of information.
- Monitors, tracks, and coordinates assigned initiatives, ensuring alignment with initiative goals and planned deliverables/commitments.
- Reviews calendars for accuracy to coordinate travel arrangements for the Chief of Police and other assigned executives as necessary.
- Utilizes computer software to support the goals, projects, and initiatives of the Office of the Chief of Police.
- Provides supervision, leadership, and direction to assigned staff to effectively support divisional initiatives and the priorities of UTP-H executives.
- Makes recommendations to leadership and oversees the implementation of administrative processes.
- Other duties include, but are not limited to, emergency recall and/or may be required to remain onsite or work extended hours during man-made or natural disasters and unusual occurrences on campus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.
- Four years related experience in a professional/administrative capacity, to include two years of supervisory, project management or lead experience.
- Must pass pre-employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented administrative professional with experience supporting director-level or higher leaders. Must be confident in decision-making, skilled at managing competing projects, and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with calendar and travel management, tracking initiatives, and sharing technical knowledge with direct reports.
- Ability to utilize data visualization tools to support the goals, projects, and initiatives of the Office of the Chief of Police.

Pay
Minimum Salary: $59,000, Midpoint Salary: $74,000, Maximum Salary: $89,000.
Schedule
Full-time, regular employee, working days, exempt and not eligible for overtime pay.
