Administrative Intern

Position Purpose

Join Mercy Care Atlanta as an Administrative Intern and gain hands-on experience in healthcare administration within a mission-driven environment serving underserved communities. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented student interested in a future career in medicine, public health, or healthcare administration.

What You Will Do

• Conducting proactive outreach to patients for preventive care and appointment scheduling.
• Reviewing and managing medical records using Epic EHR and insurance portals.
• Delivering outstanding front desk service during patient check-in and check-out.
• Accurately entering and updating patient information, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
• Assisting with registration forms and obtaining required documentation.
• Facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff.
• Sustaining clinic flow and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Contributing to special projects such as quality improvement and patient satisfaction surveys.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (required)
