Administrative Intern
Position Purpose
Join Mercy Care Atlanta as an Administrative Intern and gain hands-on experience in healthcare administration within a mission-driven environment serving underserved communities. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and detail-oriented student interested in a future career in medicine, public health, or healthcare administration.
What You Will Do
- Conducting proactive outreach to patients for preventive care and appointment scheduling.
- Reviewing and managing medical records using Epic EHR and insurance portals.
- Delivering outstanding front desk service during patient check-in and check-out.
- Accurately entering and updating patient information, verifying insurance, and processing payments.
- Assisting with registration forms and obtaining required documentation.
- Facilitating communication between patients, providers, and staff.
- Sustaining clinic flow and maintaining a welcoming environment.
- Contributing to special projects such as quality improvement and patient satisfaction surveys.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- CPR/AED/First Aid Certification (required)
