Responsibilities
- Fully understands the philosophy of the small house
- Provides leadership, coaching and direction to staff as needed
- Understands how the change process affects people and works with them to overcome its challenges
- Makes regular visits to monitor house conditions
- Observes and discusses interpersonal relationships within the house
- Conducts employment interviews and participates in new hire orientation
- Obtains a daily verbal report from each house
- Attends team meetings
- Supports Self Directed Work Team (SDWT) compliance with in-service requirements
- Inputs and reviews weekly scorecards with house and leadership
- Maintains attendance and turnover reports
- Reviews weekly menus
- Provides training materials to staff and teams
- Collaboratively identifies issues and develops action plans for groups and individuals
- Completes staff evaluation and counseling process when appropriate
Qualifications
- An interest in caring for the quality of life needs of the elders
- A willingness to work as a member of the team
- Licensure/Certification: Current Ohio Nursing Home Administrator license or AIT program participant. RN or LPN license a PLUS!
- Education: BS or BA in related field
