Position Summary / General Scope

The Administrative Clerk provides administrative support to the Billing and Revenue Cycle department. Duties include greeting and assisting customers and vendors, answering calls, maintaining the reception area, processing mail, and handling various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers and vendors professionally and courteously.
  • Answer incoming calls and route them to the appropriate person/department.
  • Maintain the reception area in a clean, organized, and tidy manner.
  • Open and close the reception area, ensuring proper staffing and phone availability during business hours.
  • Process daily mail, including deliveries, and ensure proper distribution.
  • Print and process claims, bills, and other forms on a daily basis.
  • Process specialized contracts according to contract specifications.
  • Follow up on EDI batches daily to ensure acceptance and reprocess rejected claims.
  • Monitor funds on the postage machine.
  • Manage office inventory, including paper, envelopes, and forms.
  • Aid in completing Medical Record Requests.
  • Assist with and complete additional projects as needed or assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must comply with UDS drug screening at any and all times.
  • Must pass a satisfactory background check and MA CORI, verification may be required annually.
  • Must meet the essential duties and physical, mental, and sensory requirements of the position at all times.
