ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT TO DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SERVICES
Job Summary
To be responsible for the general operation of the office of the Director of Student Services, serving as receptionist, scheduling appointments, and answering telephone inquiries. To be responsible for typing, correspondence, forms, reports, schedules, budget, calendars, etc., pertaining to the Director of Student Services office. To coordinate homebound instruction. To assist with the student testing program. To prepare materials and maintain records pertaining to student scheduling. To assist in the preparation and distribution of the Master Schedule. To process incoming freshmen materials and information. To perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Student Services.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated keyboarding, word processing, dictation, and general office skills
- Good interpersonal relations and communication skills
- Evidence of good organizational skills
- Evidence of good judgement, trustworthiness, flexibility, and emotional maturity
- Leadership capabilities and self-direction
Working Conditions
Is directly responsible to the Director of Student Services.
Terms of Employment
Twelve-month. Salary and benefits to be established by the agreement between the Board of Education and the United Support Staff Council.
