Administrative Assistant - Rheumatology
About the role
Provides administrative and secretarial support for departments, offices, or project areas, including facilitation of overall office functions. Responsibilities include patient registration, insurance verification, scheduling appointments, answering phones, and routing messages to appropriate parties.
Secretarial duties involve handling confidential items, reports, presentations, and correspondence requiring the ability to create or revise complex documents. May assist with special projects or studies and perform office management tasks such as coordinating workflow, inventory, purchasing, communication, or security.
Additional duties include scheduling appointments and meetings, screening calls, providing information to callers, greeting visitors, and distributing mail.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or pertinent college-level courses and two years of administrative/office management experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Preferred Qualifications
- Competency with Microsoft Office or comparable office software and other required applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
- Dictation/transcription skills may be required.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, daytime hours.

Pay
$18.75 - $28.40 per hour. Salary is based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, market, and business considerations.
