About the role
The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) is seeking a part-time Front Office Administrative Assistant to join their team. Located in the picturesque city of Colorado Springs, UCCS is dedicated to academic excellence, research, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Covering the front desk, which includes greeting and checking in and outpatients/clients
- Answering phone calls
- Scheduling appointments
- Answering questions and directing people to the proper resources
- Collecting patient/client payments, preparing tickets in Electronic Medical Record and providing walkout receipts to patients/clients
- Collecting and entering student immunization records into student information system and assisting with immunization tracking requirements
- File maintenance and purging of inactive charts, including scanning into Electronic Medical Record system
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience working in a medical office, counseling office or as school setting
- Completion of Medical Administrative Assistant or similar program that includes internship hours from an accredited college, university or non-correspondence trade school, may substitute for experience
- Experience working with Electronic Medical Record
- Experience working in a medical or counseling office setting
- Experience working in a college setting
- Experience working as a medical assistant in a clinical setting
- Intermediate skills to use Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Words, Excel)
- Experience with student information systems

Pay
$20,446.44 - $26,382.50 annually. Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position is expected to work 20 hours a week. This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.
