Responsibilities
- Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality
- Record applications/resumes in systems and in applicant log
- Post federal/state compliance posters and internal job postings throughout the facilities
- Perform background and reference checks
- Cook up with local and out of state lab facilities to schedule pre-employment testing
- Prepare employment related documents such as new hire and benefit packets, employee folders, etc.
- Aid with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs and company events
- Conduct MVRs and maintain all employee driving records through DMV Lens Program
- Maintain Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) forms and notify employees of upcoming documentation expiration dates
- Report new hires to NYS and E-Verify
- Order and maintain HR department supplies
- Perform general off duties; scanning, filing, copying and data entry
- Collaborate with supervisor on updates, changes and/or issues that may need addressing
- Maintain leave of absence reports
- Aid with HR projects and special events
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Familiarity with online meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Active listening with discretion, confidentiality, and empathy always
- Ability to collaborate professionally at all levels of organization
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Business Administration or related field
- Experience/Education: 1-3 years of administrative or office support experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with HRIS systems a plus
