About the role
Perkins is an international NGO dedicated to providing best-in-class education to children with disabilities, training and support to professionals and families, advocating for inclusion, and accelerating innovation.
Responsibilities
- Greet scheduled visitors and answer/ route program telephone calls.
- Manage incoming/outgoing physical and electronic mail.
- Assist Lower School students and department staff with daily questions and needs.
- Prepare correspondence, forms, requisitions, flyers, and notices for Lower School activities.
- Maintain the department calendar and support coordinate supervisor schedules.
- Arrange internal and external meetings and reserve/prepare facilities for events.
- Disseminate information regarding program policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Locate, attach, and manage electronic files while maintaining strict confidentiality on sensitive student matters.
- Order and maintain building supplies and prepare and process monthly school credit card and expense documentation.
Requirements
- Proficient in Google Suite.
- Proficiency with PowerSchool, Salesforce, and/or Adobe Acrobat is a major bonus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proven ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations and use high levels of discretion when dealing with privileged or sensitive student matters.
- Strong work ethic.
Qualifications
- Minimum: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of related office experience and/or training preferred.
- Preferred: Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with six (6) years of related office experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
Skills
- Google Suite proficiency.
- PowerSchool, Salesforce, and/or Adobe Acrobat proficiency.

Compensation is commensurate with experience.
