About the role

Perkins is an international NGO dedicated to providing best-in-class education to children with disabilities, training and support to professionals and families, advocating for inclusion, and accelerating innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Greet scheduled visitors and answer/ route program telephone calls.
  • Manage incoming/outgoing physical and electronic mail.
  • Assist Lower School students and department staff with daily questions and needs.
  • Prepare correspondence, forms, requisitions, flyers, and notices for Lower School activities.
  • Maintain the department calendar and support coordinate supervisor schedules.
  • Arrange internal and external meetings and reserve/prepare facilities for events.
  • Disseminate information regarding program policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Locate, attach, and manage electronic files while maintaining strict confidentiality on sensitive student matters.
  • Order and maintain building supplies and prepare and process monthly school credit card and expense documentation.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Google Suite.
  • Proficiency with PowerSchool, Salesforce, and/or Adobe Acrobat is a major bonus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with vulnerable populations and use high levels of discretion when dealing with privileged or sensitive student matters.
  • Strong work ethic.

Qualifications

  • Minimum: High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 2 years of related office experience and/or training preferred.
  • Preferred: Associate degree from a two-year college or technical school with six (6) years of related office experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

Skills

  • Google Suite proficiency.

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Part-time and full-time schedules are available.
