About the role
Cleveland Electric Company is a specialty contractor in the Atlanta market, founded in 1925 and now operating for nearly 100 years. The company focuses on adapting to changing demands in the construction market.
Responsibilities
- Respond to requests for service and assistance from Contract Manager, clients, and superintendent
- Prepare, issue, and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements, and checks
- Manage RFI Program
- Aid construction site staff with office equipment and materials
- Prepare and transmit daily field labor reports
- Perform general office duties such as making copies, document control, processing mail, and answering phones
- Oversee and process day-to-day administrative items such as expense reports, supply requisitions, personnel transaction forms, budgets
- Update project / delivery schedules, reports, change orders and documents based on revisions and changes to the project
- Keep project meeting and appointment schedules to ensure all meetings and reports are properly addressed
- Manage submittal program
- Manage safety documents
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- A minimum of six months of experience in an Administrative role required
- Construction experience and familiarity with contracts preferred
- Ability to remain professional and diplomatic in stressful situations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Experience using and manipulating spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel and expert in using Microsoft Word
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
Work Environment
The employee may be required to wear a hardhat and safety glasses and must observe safety procedures at the job site. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud outside the site office.
