About the role
The mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric services are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana. ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant 4!
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Training Developmental Program Staff Manager 1 (Education Director) in creating and reviewing documents, meeting minutes, reports, forms, records and/or other materials related to the hospital expansion for content, completeness, accuracy, and submission to the ELMHS Administration Department.
- Perform clerical duties such as making copies, filing, scanning, processing paperwork, and researching documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically composing letters in Microsoft Word and creating spreadsheets/reports in Microsoft Excel.
- Aid in tracking, monitoring, and documenting progress and needs for the hospital.
- Communicate with other departments and participate in meetings with Director.
- Prepare materials needed for meetings, such as agendas, handouts, binders, etc.
- Provide assistance to ELMHS staff for scheduling classes and retrieving requested Education documentation.
- Maintain computer lab; providing technical assistance and supporting web-based learners by answering common questions such as how to locate courses and verifying completion of courses.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in administrative services. Experience Substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.
