Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in completing departmental tasks such as strategic and academic planning, budgeting, and reporting.
- Enter data and information into databases and systems, including student data and course details.
- Schedule and attend meetings, maintaining confidentiality.
- Create agendas and minutes for meetings.
- Implement quality, service, and process improvement initiatives.
- Manage event planning for the department.
Required Skills And Experience
- Minimum two years’ experience in an administrative support role, preferably in higher education.
- High level of computer proficiency in word processing, excel, presentations, email, and virtual meeting applications, preferably on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Experience with Smartsheet is preferred but not required.
- High level customer service skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong collaboration skills.
Education And Certifications
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- An Associates or Bachelor's Degree in business administration, liberal arts, or a similar discipline is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods, up to eight hours per day.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to view computer screen for extended periods, up to eight hours per day.
- Manual dexterity and mobility to use personal computers and other office equipment.
