About the role

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 for the Department of Police Services. This position will primarily operate as a receptionist and administrative support position for the records department, helping to ensure consistent and continuous service delivery at both Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) and University of Nevada, Reno campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Operate as a receptionist and provide administrative support to the records department.
  • Help maintain complex records and files.
  • Provide public/customer relations, including explaining detailed policies, regulations, and requirements.
  • Prepare and process financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims, and budgeting forms.
  • Aid staff and management with projects and activities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and (3) three years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities.
  • One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
