Administrative and Operations Specialist

Full-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes Discovery District Vision, Mission, Job Description, Position Summary, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills and Competencies, Work Environment, etc. Also maybe Benefits? Not present. Pay? Not present. Schedule? Work Hours given: "Work Hours 8-5, M-F Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be necessary". That's schedule info. Should we include a Schedule section? The rule: include a section ONLY when posting has real, specific content for it. It does have schedule info. So we can include a

Schedule

with

describing work hours. Benefits? Not present. Pay? Not present. So omit. We need to remove boilerplate: EEO statements, contact info, working conditions, protective clothing, physical requirements, sensory, working conditions & exposures, working environment, supplemental questions, documents needed, etc. Also remove posting details like Posting Number, Department, etc unless they are substantive? The instruction: do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short

or drop it. So we can include a short paragraph with metadata like Institution, Working Title, Posting Number, Department, Physical Location, Posting Date, Closing Date, etc. But we should not repeat job title as heading. The page already shows it, but we can still include it in a paragraph? Probably we can include a short

with metadata. We need to preserve all substantive information: Vision, Mission, Job Description, Position Summary, Responsibilities (list), Qualifications (Education and Experience, Skills and Competencies), Work Environment (including schedule). Also maybe "Appointment Percent 100", "Work Hours 8-5, M-F", "Occasional early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be necessary". Also "Duration of the Term 12 months", "Appointment Type Regular", "Scope of Search External". Those are metadata; could be included in a short paragraph. We must not invent or summarize away detail. Use

  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So responsibilities list: Administrative and Operational Support (with sub-bullets?), Event Planning, Social Media Management, Financial Bookkeeping and Reporting, Other Duties. Each of those may have multiple bullet points. We'll need to decide how to format. The instruction: Use
    • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. So we can have a top-level
        for responsibilities, each
      • containing the responsibility description (maybe with internal details as sentences). Could also nest lists but not required. Simpler: each responsibility as
      • with the description. Similarly qualifications: Education and Experience, Skills and Competencies. Could be two
under a Qualifications heading? Or we could have separate headings for Education and Experience and Skills and Competencies. But the rule: prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. So maybe combine under Qualifications heading with two
lists: one for Education and Experience, one for Skills and Competencies. Or we could have a single
with items that include both. But better to separate. We need headings:

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). So we can use headings: About the role (maybe includes Vision, Mission, Job Description, Position Summary). Responsibilities. Qualifications (maybe includes Education and Experience, Skills and Competencies). Schedule. Possibly also "Work Environment" but schedule covers that. Could also have "Work Environment" heading but not in list; but we can use "Work Environment" as heading if we want, but the instruction says use those examples but not limited? It says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It implies we can use those headings; but we can also use other headings? Probably safer to stick to those. So we can have About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Schedule. Maybe also "Work Environment" not needed. We need to include all substantive info: Vision, Mission, Job Description, Position Summary. Those can go under About the role as paragraphs. Now produce HTML fragment. Let's draft:

              About the role

We may also include metadata paragraph: Institution, Working Title, Posting Number, Department, Location, Posting Date, Closing Date, First Consideration Date, Duration of Term 12 months, Appointment Type Regular, Appointment Percent 100, Scope of Search External. But we need to avoid repeating job title as heading; we can include in a short paragraph. Add after About the role maybe before Responsibilities? Or at top. Let's add a

              with metadata:

Institution: The University of South Dakota • Working Title: Administrative and Operations Specialist • Posting Number: CSA02837P • Department: USD‑Discovery District • Location: Sioux Falls • Posted: 09/18/2026 • Closing: Open Until Filled • First Consideration: 10/02/2026 • Term: 12 months • Appointment: Regular, 100% • Search Scope: External

            • : we used for responsibilities. For qualifications we used paragraphs with bold headings; that's okay as not a list. Could also make lists but not required. Check for any missing substantive info: Vision, Mission, Job Description, Position Summary, Responsibilities (all subpoints), Qualifications (Education and Experience, Skills and Competencies), Work Environment (schedule). Also we included metadata like Appointment Percent, Duration, etc. Also we included "Ability and willingness to work occasional extended hours" which is in skills. Good. We omitted "Experience in financial bookkeeping and reporting is highly preferred." That's part of responsibilities? Actually it's in Job Description paragraph: "Experience in financial bookkeeping and reporting is highly preferred." We missed that. Need to include it somewhere. Could add to About the role paragraph after Job Description or as a separate sentence. Let's add to About the role after Job Description: maybe a sentence. Add: "Experience in financial bookkeeping and reporting is highly preferred." We'll incorporate. Also we missed "Ability to use discretion in handling confidential information." Already in skills. We missed "Experience in documenting and processing items that require authorization." Already in skills. We missed "Ability and willingness to work occasional extended hours." Already. We missed "Valid motor vehicle operator’s license, with the ability to operate and travel by motor vehicle." Already.
