About the role

The Administrator / Patient Care Coordinator works primarily on insurance verification and authorization, including all private insurances and Medicaid via EQ health benefit explanations to patients, helping them with grants and opportunities. Duties also include using EHR data entry, tracking authorizations, running reports, coordinating schedules, communicating with team members and doctor's offices to ensure continuity of care, managing schedules and teams, working directly with the medical billing team—reviewing all billing and collections, and assisting patients at the front desk as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable with portals and medical front desk processes for patient services, including medical management and billing processes
• Experience in a medical front desk setting, ideally in a therapy practice (insurance verification, authorizations, scheduling, patient care)
• Understanding of EMR systems and program software used for scheduling, billing, etc.
• Excellent people skills and communication with staff, clients, and doctors
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Exceptional organizational skills for data tracking, scheduling, and inventory
• Familiarity with commonly used office programs such as Outlook, Word, and the internet
