As an Administrative Assistant, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the school office to maximize its positive impact on the education of children.
Responsibilities
- Leads by example in adherence and knowledge of the CSUSA and school's Vision, Mission, and Values, demonstrating commitment to act ethically and promote a team concept.
- Follows through on assigned duties and projects and participates in training programs to increase skill and proficiency.
- Reviews current developments, literature, and technical sources related to job responsibilities.
- Follows company policies, federal and state laws, and ensures adherence to good safety procedures.
- Consults directly with CSUSA personnel when applicable.
- Takes and transcribes dictation, including reports, correspondence, observation and evaluation reports, letters, memos, newsletters, and other documents.
- Maintains the principal's schedule, makes arrangements for meetings, conferences, interviews, and other activities.
- Prepares evaluations, memos, newsletters, presentations, and other documents as directed by the Principal.
- Coordinates the assignments and work of substitute teachers.
- Performs office routines such as sorting mail, operating the copy machine, and serving as telephone receptionist.
- Prepares, processes, and maintains oversight of purchase orders.
- Maintains an appropriate filing system and retrieves documents efficiently.
- Manages records and correspondence, improves systems as necessary, and responds to requests for information.
- Acts as an information resource for other office personnel and communicates assigned duties as required.
- Organizes and prioritizes multiple assignments with strong attention to detail and process-driven workflows.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- One to two years of office experience with a wide variety of responsibilities.
- Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
- Comfortable working in a learning environment as part of a team.
- Bilingual ability may be required per advertised vacancy specifications.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS), and email communications.

Work Environment
While performing the responsibilities of this position, the work environment includes usual office working conditions.
Physical Demands
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Frequently lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds of force.
- Vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
