Adjunct Voice Instructor- Musical Theater, Department of Music

Qualifications

• Holds at least a Masters Degree in Voice Performance, Vocal Pedagogy, or Musical Theater
• Has an established career as a professional singer in the musical theater profession
• Has at least three years of college teaching experience
• Has piano skills required to teach lessons
• Knows golden age to contemporary musical theater repertoire

Duties

• Teach private voice lessons to students enrolled in the BA in Theater (Musical Theater concentration)
• Participate in end of semester juries

Pay

In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 (after 9/1/2026) per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester, 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned by the College and Department on an as-needed basis.
