Adjunct Therapist

Location: Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740

Pay: $33.21 per hour

Schedule: Per diem, day shift (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Job Overview

We are currently looking for an Adjunct Therapist to conduct evaluations and plan treatment activities for patients with psychosocial dysfunctions. All methods of practice and work performance must conform to written established hospital policies and procedures and be carried out to the highest achievable level of competence in a manner demonstrating concern and consideration.

Responsibilities

• Assume a leadership role in recommending and implementing programs to meet patients’ therapeutic needs.
• Collaborate with creative arts therapists on staff to provide continuity of care.
• Communicate with staff regarding clinically appropriate information obtained from patient interaction.
• Contribute to establishing priorities in multidisciplinary treatment planning and implement interventions to facilitate goal accomplishment.
• Develop and implement therapeutic groups for appropriate ages.
• Accurately document the patient’s behavior, progress, and involvement in milieu programs.
• Evaluate group therapy program on an ongoing basis.
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning.
• Perform recreational therapy evaluation of each patient within allotted time frame.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (required).
• Board Certified in Creative Arts Therapy (required).
• Rehabilitation/Creative Arts Therapist licensed or credentialed by appropriate association or licensure/credentialing board (e.g., ATR-BC, LCAT, R-DMT, BC-DMT).
• Experience working in Behavioral Health, Substance Abuse, and/or Geriatrics.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s in Creative Therapy.
