Adjunct – School of Legal Studies (On Campus Applicant Pool)

About the role

The Husson’s College of Business seeks to assemble a pool of qualified candidates interested in potential part-time teaching positions in criminal justice. These opportunities are contingent upon the University's needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in the fall and/or spring semesters in the School of Legal Studies within a classroom setting.
• Support students through regular or virtual office hours as needed.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to develop and utilize common syllabi, course materials, and assessment methods.
• Utilize instructional technology such as the Canvas LMS, Husson G-Suite applications, and the faculty portal.
• Assess and report on student performance.

Requirements

• An earned Master’s Degree in criminal justice or a related field is required; a Ph.D. is preferred.
• Successful teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
• Demonstrated dedication to enhancing classroom teaching, exploring new methods, and adapting to student needs.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Pay

• Undergraduate Course: Masters Prepared - $933.33 maximum per credit hour*
• Undergraduate Course Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared - $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*
• Graduate Course Masters Level Prepared - $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour*
• Graduate Course Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared - $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour*

Schedule

Assignments may require teaching during the day or evening, as needed.

The employee is occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
