Adjunct RN Faculty - PRN Utah Critical Care/Complex Care Clinical/Lab – Nursing

About the Role

Grand Canyon University is seeking Adjunct Clinical and Lab Nursing faculty members to share their knowledge with nursing students. This PRN position requires travel within the Salt Lake City, Utah area to directly observe student performance during clinical rotations and labs.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce didactic content, teaching the knowledge and skills needed for pre‑licensure nursing.
• Collaborate with content‑area faculty to provide expert evaluation and documentation of student progress toward clinical objectives.
• Participate in grading written and clinical performance check‑offs.
• Remain current with new trends and developments in the specific field of nursing practice.
• Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation.
• Uphold the tenets of nursing as a holistic profession and the pillars of the University.
• Travel to GCU student sites to directly observe student performance.
• Support the university program in all areas, demonstrating congruence with the institution’s philosophy, direction, and community service.
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission.

Qualifications

• BSN required. BSN holders must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire (paid for by GCU).
• OR BSN with proof of at least 9 graduate credits (3 classes) in any graduate program.
• OR approved national certification related to the content area being taught (specify graduate credits or certification on resume).
• Minimum of 3 years recent work experience in Critical Care/Complex Care nursing with a BSN.
• Active, current, unencumbered, multi‑state (compact) RN license.
• Successful completion of a drug test and competency testing.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
