Job Responsibilities
- Provides instruction to students enrolled in Corporate and Continuing Education welding classes.
- Must have a broad knowledge of the welding industry and welding techniques in Stick, MIG, Flux Cored, and TIG welding.
- Must have excellent classroom management technique, ensuring the readiness of facilities for class activities; teaching classroom; evaluating and reporting of students’ progress; assigning and assisting students on class projects; creating and delivering lecture and demonstrations.
- SUBMITS GRADES AND STUDENT PERFORMANCE IN A TIMELY MANNER TO THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree in Welding or related skilled trade field and three (3) years of experience, or five (5) years of welding industry experience including training or mentoring new employees.
- The Candidate must have extensive on the job experience, knowledge and training along with the ability to convey that knowledge to others.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education with formal training in welding and three (3) years of teaching in the classroom or in industry.
