Adjunct Professor of Clinical Skills - Physicianship

Specific Responsibilities

  • Teaches in assigned courses
  • Aids in monitoring the progress of all students
  • Recommends disciplinary action when necessary
  • Assists in student testing, re-testing, and remediation
  • Develops clinical scenarios for standardized patient education assessment/evaluation and simulation education/assessment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualification(s)

  • Health professional with DO, MD, Paramedic, APN, or PAClinical experience providing direct patient care in their specialty
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed oriented and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products
  • The desire and ability to learn course management software/distance learning technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in precepting Osteopathic medical students in a clinical setting
  • Experience as an instructor in a clinical skills course or CME course
  • Experience with Point of Care Ultrasound and simulation
