About the role
The CRLP Teacher Leader position is part of the California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP), a professional development program aimed at improving literacy and language development among teachers. This role involves delivering professional learning through various institute and workshop settings, collaborating with other CRLP Teacher Leaders, and potentially teaching summer camps.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present signature programs at open institutes and workshops
- Prepare and present review sessions & coaching sessions at regional schools and districts
- Plan and teach summer camps for local students
- Collaborate with other CRLP Teacher Leaders to improve practices
- Observe lessons presented by CRLP Teacher Leaders and/or videotape lessons
- Provide feedback and advice for fellow CRLP Teacher Leaders
- Organize and set up workshops, training sessions, and other events
- Develop new strategies and plans for an improved learning experience
- Build teacher networks to share resources and knowledge
- Perform other duties as assigned by the regional director and/or program coordinator(s)
Requirements
- Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree from a graduate institution of recognized standing or equivalent experience and professional recognition
- Preferred Qualifications: Current California Teaching Credential, extensive teaching experience in literacy development, English Language Development, and related disciplines, extensive experience using CRLP signature programs
Qualifications
- Knowledge of ELA & ELD standards and frameworks, as they pertain to specific signature programs
- Knowledge of California Reading and Literature Project mission
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to internal and external audiences
- Ability to think critically, understand and resolve issues, complaints, and problems efficiently and thoroughly
- Ability to compose correspondence and other written materials independently
- Ability to create multimedia presentations
Skills
- Knowledge of principles of adult learning and professional development training
- Ability to determine appropriate action within defined guidelines
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little direction

Cal Lutheran provides a competitive compensation package including a range of $30.50 - $34.50 per hour.
