About the role

The UConn Operations and Information Management Department (OPIM) seeks academically and professionally qualified instructors to serve as adjunct faculty in a variety of undergraduate and graduate level courses. Courses are taught in Hartford, Waterbury, Stamford, and Storrs. Recruitment is ongoing and applicants will be considered for future course planning.

Responsibilities

  • Typically teach one - two courses per semester and are paid by the course.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Courses:
    • An earned Bachelor’s degree in related field and relevant industry or research experience related to the course content at an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Graduate Courses:
    • An earned Master’s degree in related field and relevant industry or research experience related to the course content.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • An earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree in an area relevant to the field; previous teaching experience of relevant courses at an AACSB accredited institution.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications For Undergraduate Courses: An earned Bachelor’s degree in related field and relevant industry or research experience related to the course content at an AACSB-accredited institution.
  • Minimum Qualifications For Graduate Courses: An earned Master’s degree in related field and relevant industry or research experience related to the course content.

Skills

Applicants should have expertise in Business Analytics, Information Technology, and Operations and Supply Chain Management to teach various subjects in these areas.

Benefits

These are temporary positions (teaching one to two courses) for a period of one semester, with the possibility of extension depending upon program needs and available funding.

Pay

Adjunct faculty are paid by the course.
