Adjunct Nursing Instructor

About the Role

Jersey College is seeking Registered Nurse Instructors with a passion for teaching to join our Nursing Program. This position involves providing clinical instruction and fostering student growth in long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical settings.

Schedule

This is a PRN (as needed) position for Semester 2, with clinical instruction on either Wednesday or Friday from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, plus weekly POD meetings. Start date: August 31, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a clinical environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Prepare student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Evaluate student competence based on program philosophy and objectives.
• Implement evaluation devices to measure student learning and clinical experience progress.
• Attend faculty meetings.
• Maintain professional qualifications through continuing education, in-service training, and academic courses.
• Perform other duties as required by the program director, program dean, or campus administration.

Requirements

• MSN (Master of Science in Nursing) required.
• Valid State RN License required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
