Adjunct Music Professor

Job Responsibilities

Provides instruction to students enrolled in MUS 105: Music Appreciation. This is an in-person position requiring teaching classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools.

• Conducts appropriate learning activities
• Maintains effective instructional management
• Participates in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings
• Adheres to all college-designated deadlines
• Participates in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments

About the Role

This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off-campus instructional sites.

Requirements

• Master of Arts in Music; or Master of Arts plus 18 hours in Music
• Past experience in teaching introductory college Music courses, especially in the community college setting, is preferred

Pay

The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours.
