Adjunct Music Professor
Job Responsibilities
Provides instruction to students enrolled in MUS 105: Music Appreciation. This is an in-person position requiring teaching classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools.
- Conducts appropriate learning activities
- Maintains effective instructional management
- Participates in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings
- Adheres to all college-designated deadlines
- Participates in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments
About the Role
This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off-campus instructional sites.
Requirements
- Master of Arts in Music; or Master of Arts plus 18 hours in Music
- Past experience in teaching introductory college Music courses, especially in the community college setting, is preferred

Pay
Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College’s established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
