Multimedia I: Audio and Video Production for Photographers
This course is an introduction to the methodologies and technologies of multimedia production employing audio and video. Through assigned projects, students will explore concepts relating to the use of sound and moving image for the purpose of description, narrative, experimentation, and expression. Assignments will be supported by lectures, readings, and demonstrations. Students will be introduced to historical and contemporary applications of audio and video media in the context of assigned projects.
- Pre-requisites: PHT116
- Compensation: Range from $1,100 - $4,700 depending on enrollment
- The course meets in person. This studio course section meets twice a week for 1:50 minutes.
- Instructors are expected to deliver the course in person in their assigned time blocks.
- Able to abide by Endicott’s academic policies as described in the College’s faculty handbook.
- Use the course description and honor the learning outcomes of each course.
- Use Canvas as the course’s learning management system.
- Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.
- Communicate with the dean or other administrators if issues arise concerning the teaching of specific classes.
- Meet with students if they request assistance or need clarification for any course-related matter, if requested.
- Provide samples of student work that may be used for assessment purposes.
- Use the Endicott email when communicating with students outside of class.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree is required, and college-level teaching experience is preferred.
