Adjunct Mental Health Instructor (Practical Nursing)

About the role

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology – McMinnville is seeking an adjunct Mental Health Instructor (Practical Nursing) for both the McMinnville and Coffee County Campuses.

Responsibilities

• Instruction and supervision of practical nursing students in the clinical agency in one of the following nursing areas: Mental Health/Psychiatric.
• Instruct and supervise nursing students in the clinical agency.
• Function under the direction of the course faculty or Director of Nursing for the course.
• Participate in departmental activities associated with the instructional program.
• Communicate clearly with students and colleagues.
• Work effectively with traditional and non-traditional students including but not limited to the culturally and ethnically diverse.

Requirements

• Associated Degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution.
• Current Registered Nurse license in good standing in the State of Tennessee.
• Minimum or three (3) years of experience as an RN within the last 5 years.
• Desire to teach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) as well as with Tablets and hand-held devices.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Mental Health Nursing.
