Adjunct Lecturer - Paralegal Studies
About the Role
Tulane University’s School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) seeks qualified individuals to add to its part-time Adjunct Lecturer pool for the ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Program. Qualified applicants may be contacted if an opportunity consistent with their qualifications becomes available.
Courses are offered in online and remote (synchronous) formats, adhering to ABA’s guidelines for paralegal education and SoPA’s requirements for online course development. All Adjunct Lecturers must complete SoPA’s self-guided training for teachers, follow pedagogical requirements, and complete training on institutional and instructional platforms.
Openings vary based on the Program’s teaching needs and the subject matter expertise of candidates. Applicants will be contacted if a need arises in their area of expertise.

Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate online or remote courses in Paralegal Studies.
- Complete SoPA’s self-guided training for teachers and adhere to pedagogical requirements.
- Complete required training on institutional and instructional platforms.

Qualifications
- J.D., Ph.D., MLS, or equivalent master’s-level degree.
- 3 to 5 years of law firm, NGO, military, or agency experience directly related to the area of expertise and involving work with paralegals on legal teams.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in litigation, corporate and/or real estate transactions, regulatory compliance counseling, developing and presenting ABA-approved CLE presentations, and/or university-level teaching.
- Applicants who are or have ever been licensed to practice law must have no history of formal disciplinary investigation or proceeding in any jurisdiction.
