About the role
The Social Science Department at New York City College of Technology (City Tech), part of the City University of New York (CUNY), seeks adjunct instructors for introductory courses in various social science disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Teach introductory courses in Psychology, Economics, Sociology, American Government, Physical Geography, American History, World History, Philosophy, Health Care Ethics, and Anthropology.
- Teach successfully in both online and in-person modalities.
Requirements
- Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise.
- Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adjunct Lecturer: Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications

- Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent, and the ability to teach successfully.
Compensation
- Adjunct Lecturer: $100.41/hr
- Adjunct Assistant Professor: $109.54/hr
