Adjunct Lecturer, Graduate Counseling Programs

Summary Graduate Counseling Programs of Regis College is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a synchronous, online section of CP-656: Advanced Seminar in Treating Personality Disorders for the Master of Arts in Counseling program, offered in the School of Health Sciences on the Weston, MA campus.

Responsibilities

• Engage in instructional activity of graduate counseling courses as assigned, including direct instruction, hybrid courses, and immediate preparation.
• Maintain competence in subjects being taught and prepare teaching materials.
• Confer with students on course materials, review assignments, and provide academic accommodations for students with documented disabilities.
• Write syllabi, read and respond to emails promptly, and grade coursework within a timeframe that enables students to incorporate feedback.
• Submit mid-term and final grades by posted deadlines and alert appropriate college personnel to student problems on a timely basis.
• Use instructional technology, including learning management systems, word processors, and video-based telecommunication software.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or Counselor Education; doctorate preferred.
• Experience teaching at the graduate level; graduate psychology teaching experience in advanced clinical seminars, psychopathology, and treating personality disorders strongly preferred.

Working Conditions

• Sitting at a computer for up to three hours at a time for synchronous, online courses.

Pay

$4,607.61
