About the role
The Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics invites qualified applicants to apply for an Adjunct Lecturer position. Our current need is for one, or two, Adjunct Lecturer(s) to teach either, or both, of CE 218 Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics and CE 427/527 Computer Applications in Hydraulics (concurrent with HWRS 427/527 and BE 427/527) in the Fall semester of academic year 2026-27. Both positions are anticipated to be a 0.10 FTE position.
Responsibilities
- Teach CE 218 Fundamentals of Fluid Mechanics
- Teach CE 427/527 Computer Applications in Hydraulics (concurrent with HWRS 427/527 and BE 427/527)
Requirements
- PhD in Civil Engineering or related field
- Experience teaching undergraduate fluid mechanics courses
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Qualifications
- Strong background in fluid mechanics
- Excellent communication skills
Skills
- Proficiency in teaching undergraduate level courses
- Ability to develop and deliver engaging lectures
