Adjunct, Interior Design

About the role

Fairfield University's College of Arts and Sciences is seeking an adjunct or visiting instructor to teach a semester-long course in the MA degree Interior Design program. The position is exclusively online and requires teaching core board courses and lighting classes.

Responsibilities

• Teach core board courses and lighting classes for graduate students in the MA Interior Design program.
• Teach both daytime and evening sessions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and as needed by the department and university.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design.
• NCIDQ certification.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching interior design at the graduate level.
• Strong knowledge of interior design principles and practices.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficiency in interior design software.
• Ability to manage multiple courses and schedules.

Pay
