About the role
Holy Family University is a private institution in the Catholic tradition, founded in 1954 as a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth. The University has campuses in Philadelphia and Newtown, PA, with the main campus in Northeast Philadelphia and the Newtown campus in Bucks County.
Responsibilities
- Teach graduate and undergraduate special education courses in a variety of formats, including face-to-face and online (asynchronous and synchronous).
- Maintain academic excellence in the classroom.
- Facilitate active learning experiences and practical exercises to enhance student comprehension and application of educational concepts.
- Provide grades and feedback to students in a timely manner.
- Respond to email correspondence from Deans, Coordinators, and students in a timely manner.
- Use the Learning Management System (CANVAS) appropriately for all classes.
- Utilize advising software (CRM Advise) to identify student issues and alert support offices within the university in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Special Education teacher, preferably in PA.
- A Master’s Degree in Education, preferably earned doctorate.
- Experience teaching special education in K-12 schools.
