ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Create courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students' active participation.
- Foster an effective learning environment that encourages students' intellectual curiosity and problem-solving.
- Employ various formative and summative assessments to ensure student learning and achievement of course objectives.
- Help students achieve their academic, personal, and career goals while promoting a safe, respectful environment.
- Contribute to and lead academic and professional communities, fostering collaboration and teamwork.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Pursuant to the City Colleges Credential Guidelines for the 2025-2026 Academic Year: Master’s Degree in Spanish.
- Knowledge of Brightspace Learning Management System or similar systems, preferred.
- Prior experience with online teaching (via Zoom) and/or online teaching certification, strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of staff and students.
- Experience working with a diverse, multilingual student population, and a commitment to the open access mission of the community college.
- Able to teach during daytime hours and in-person.

Salary: $800 - $837 - $943 per Contact Hour based on Degree. The rate paid is in accordance with City Colleges approved salary scale.
