Adjunct Instructor, Persuasive Writing
About the role
The Annenberg School of Journalism at the University of Southern California seeks a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach PR 535: Persuasive Writing. This course is designed to teach students to master the fundamentals of proper PR and advertising writing styles with sensitivity to the requirements of different situations, audiences, and mediums. To edit and proofread any material so it is publishable. Craft persuasive messages for any medium that meet the client’s objectives. Lastly, to devise digital ad copy for a variety of mediums, including print, online, TV, radio, and OOH, based on sound advertising strategy.
Responsibilities
- Teach PR 535: Persuasive Writing
- Edit and proofread materials for publication
- Craft persuasive messages for various media
- Create digital ad copy for multiple mediums
Requirements
- B.A., B.S., M.S., or M.A. degree in a related field
- Previous teaching experience is desirable
- Outstanding professional experience may substitute for academic credentials
