Adjunct Instructor of Electrical Engineering

About the role

Penn State Altoona seeks a part-time instructor to teach in-person lectures and labs in Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology and related disciplines beginning Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

• Teach PLC programming and microcontrollers/embedded controllers with applications (primary need)
• Teach electrical circuits and systems
• Teach circuit theory
• Teach discrete and integrated electronics
• Teach digital design
• Teach electric machines
• Teach automatic control systems
• Teach computer I/O

Qualifications

• Master’s degree, or equivalent education and experience, in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field (required)
• Experience teaching at the college level (preferred)
• Commitment to active and collaborative learning
• Commitment to instructional use of technology in a student-centered environment
