Adjunct Instructor of Biology

Position Summary

The Department of Biology seeks individuals interested in teaching non-majors and majors courses as Adjunct Instructors. Teaching loads depend on departmental needs each semester, but may include anatomy & physiology and other organismal courses. Adjuncts typically teach 1–3 sections each term, often during weekday afternoons and evenings.

Required Qualifications

• A masters degree in BIology or closely related field.
• Previous teaching is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Physical Demands: Applicants should be able to perform typical actions involved in an academic lab setting, including lifting up to 25 pounds and moving through a lab environment.
• Employment Status: Part-Time

Physical Demands

• Applicants must be able to teach face-to-face classes on the Erie campus.
