About the role
The College of Business at Ferris State University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach undergraduate courses in the Music Entertainment Business program via face-to-face and/or mixed delivery.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in the Music Entertainment Business program face-to-face, and/or synchronous online delivery.
- Part-time teaching and related responsibilities; utilizing face-to-face, blended, and/or online modes of delivery; delivery on or off campus; assuring/improving learning through assessment;
- Close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning.
- Facilitate a meaningful learning experience for students, fostering a supportive environment that values diversity and supports student success.
- Engage in scholarly/professional activities and participate in department, college, and university committees.
Requirements
- Master’s degree with 18 credit hours in graduate-level business, music, or hospitality-related courses.
- OR Master’s degree with a combined experience of 4 years or more in any of the following: merchandise sales, venue management, live performance, artist management, entertainment law, or music publishing.
- OR Master’s degree in a business or hospitality-related discipline with a combined experience of 3 years or more in teaching, hospitality, and/or the music industry.
- Three or more years of experience in the music business and/or related industry positions (hospitality/venue management/marketing/operations) as listed in the required education section.

Benefits
Salary commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT Agreement. FLSA: Exempt.
Pay
Minimum of $1353 per credit hour; if an advanced degree is held in the primary academic discipline, the minimum rate increases to $1,458 per credit hour.
