Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology seeks an Adjunct Instructor in International Studies to teach undergraduate courses that support the general-education curriculum and promote global awareness.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate International Studies and related Liberal Arts courses in on-campus and/or online formats
- Prepare course syllabi and instructional materials aligned with departmental and institutional learning outcomes
- Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports student success
- Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records in a timely manner
- Utilize instructional technologies and the College learning management system effectively
- Participate in departmental assessment activities as requested
- Maintain regular communication with students and department leadership
- Support the College’s mission of academic excellence, professionalism, and student-centered instruction
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in International Studies, Political Science, Global Studies, History, Sociology, Cultural Studies, or a closely related field (required)
- Demonstrated college-level teaching ability
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Commitment to working with a diverse student population
- Familiarity with instructional technology and online teaching platforms (preferred)
- Interest in interdisciplinary approaches connecting global studies with aviation, technology, business, or engineering contexts (preferred)
Pay
- Undergraduate courses: $900 per credit hour (without PhD), $925 per credit hour (with PhD)
- Graduate courses: $950 per credit hour
- Lab hours: $625 per lab hour
