Adjunct Instructor-International Studies

Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology seeks an Adjunct Instructor in International Studies to teach undergraduate courses that support the general-education curriculum and promote global awareness.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate International Studies and related Liberal Arts courses in on-campus and/or online formats
• Prepare course syllabi and instructional materials aligned with departmental and institutional learning outcomes
• Foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment that supports student success
• Assess student learning and maintain accurate academic records in a timely manner
• Utilize instructional technologies and the College learning management system effectively
• Participate in departmental assessment activities as requested
• Maintain regular communication with students and department leadership
• Support the College’s mission of academic excellence, professionalism, and student-centered instruction

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in International Studies, Political Science, Global Studies, History, Sociology, Cultural Studies, or a closely related field (required)
• Demonstrated college-level teaching ability
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Commitment to working with a diverse student population
• Familiarity with instructional technology and online teaching platforms (preferred)
• Interest in interdisciplinary approaches connecting global studies with aviation, technology, business, or engineering contexts (preferred)

Pay

• Undergraduate courses: $900 per credit hour (without PhD), $925 per credit hour (with PhD)
• Graduate courses: $950 per credit hour
• Lab hours: $625 per lab hour
