Adjunct Instructor, History
About the role
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assess student learning, participates in program evaluation, and college activities. Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Responsibilities
- Develops, maintains, interprets, and executes administrative procedures and practices, including developing and maintaining manuals regarding the College's policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
- Analyzes class and program needs of the College.
- Determines and recommends the retention or deletion of courses.
- Develops and coordinates program and course schedules, faculty assignments, and test dates.
- Maintains calendar to track schedules and adjusts as required.
- Assists students and program curriculum, program and course reviews, and articulation activities.
Requirements
- Master's degree in History
- Or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in History
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
- Ability to utilize Canvas Learning Management System and other instructional technologies

- Ability to interact positively with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public

Pay
Standard hourly rates vary based on the assigned course level and educational credentials.
Schedule
Work schedule varies according to teaching assignment. Must have the ability to work a fluctuating schedule to include evenings and weekends.
