Adjunct Instructor - Health Professions
About the role
Laurel Ridge Community College is seeking qualified applicants to fill this part time position within the Health Professions Department. Qualified candidates will possess excellent computer skills, demonstrate evidence of flexible work experiences and a willingness to change; be open-minded, fair, and possess the ability to see multiple perspectives; be willing to take and manage risks and accept responsibility for professional and personal growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide general classroom and clinical lab instruction both online and in a traditional setting.
- Teach face-to-face classes to include days, evenings, and weekends both on and off campus.
- Incorporate latest instructional technologies and interactive learning technologies in course delivery.
- Aid in program recruitment.
- Advise students who are in the program or aspire to be in the program.
- Maintain class records, input grades and attendance.
- Provide quality customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Continually develop and improve skills through professional development.
- Participate in faculty committees and other activities, as assigned.
Requirements
- Associates Degree
- Effective communication, both oral and written, skills necessary.
- Expert efficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).

- Bachelor’s Degree
- Specific certifications and qualifications may be required dependent on which program you will be an instructor.

Benefits
The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
Pay
Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty: The rate per credit hour will commensurate with education and relevant or teaching experience.
Schedule
Adjunct faculty teach a variety of day, evening and weekend classes. May be on site, remote and/or hybrid.
