Adjunct Instructor, Graphic Design
About the role
Instruct college students in accordance with educational theories and techniques. Develops discipline related curricula, assesses student learning, participates in program evaluation, and supports college activities.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements curriculum for Graphic Design courses.
- Affirmatively seeks out opportunities to engage students in critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Assesses student learning outcomes and provides feedback.
- Participates in program evaluation and college activities.
- Maintains college and department standards in support of the College's mission and strategic plan.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in fine arts in Graphic Design or Studio Arts (photography, drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, or sculpture).
- Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design or Studio Arts (photography, drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, or sculpture) and a minimum of three years of documented work experience (through a portfolio) in Graphic Design.
- Demonstrated technology skills in Multimedia and Adobe Cloud, and documented work experience (through a portfolio).
- Master’s degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design or a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, Multimedia, and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline which can be documented.
- Demonstrated technology skills in Adobe Cloud and documented work experience (through a portfolio).
Qualifications
Minimum requirements include a Master’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field, 18 graduate semester hours in Graphic Design, and a minimum of three years of documented work experience in Graphic Design. Additional qualifications include technology skills in Adobe Cloud and a portfolio demonstrating these skills.
Skills
Knowledge of Macintosh computer software programs such as Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat, and Adobe Animate. Technology skills in Multimedia and Adobe Cloud.
