The Department of Finance, Insurance, Real Estate, and Law at the University of North Texas invites applications for adjunct instructor positions for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027, and Summer 2027 semesters. The specific courses involved may vary from semester to semester, and openings develop based on the department's teaching needs.

About the Role

This position involves teaching and/or assisting with instruction of courses in finance, financial planning, real estate, risk management, and/or insurance. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in the teaching field or a closely related field, with a bachelor's degree and multiple years of professional experience or certifications also considered. Master's degree, industry experience, and certifications relevant to teaching areas, teaching experience at the college level, and experience with Canvas or similar online teaching platforms are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach and/or assist with instruction of courses in finance, financial planning, real estate, risk management, and/or insurance.
  • Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi and assessments.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
  • Assist with curriculum development and assessment.

  • Master's degree in the teaching field or a closely related field.
  • A bachelor's degree in the teaching field, with multiple years of professional experience and/or certifications, may also be considered.
  • Master's degree, industry experience, and certifications relevant to teaching areas, teaching experience at the college level, and experience with Canvas or similar online teaching platforms are preferred.
