About the role
CINE 105 Film Appreciation is a non-production, theoretical course designed to provide students with a foundational understanding of film theory, history, and filmmaking techniques.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lectures covering film history, theory, and analysis.
- Facilitate discussions to aid in understanding of course concepts.
- Assign and grade writing assignments and exams to assess student understanding.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback and support to help students succeed academically.
- Cultivate an inclusive classroom environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes respectful dialogue.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Film Studies, Media Studies, Communication, or a related field.
- Prior teaching experience, especially at the college level, is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications & Special Considerations
- Strong need for daytime classes, limited evening sessions available.
- Morning, afternoon, evening and weekend courses may be available in Lincroft, Western Monmouth and Higher Education Centers.
- Knowledge of Monmouth County and its communities.
Pay
$985 per credit hour
